Things to Consider when Creating Products for your Target Market

So you have a business. Well, the goal of any business is to see it grow and grow and grow some more. Consider digital products. They have many advantages for both the online and offline business owner. Before you finalize any plans, here are a few points to think about as it pertains to breaking into the digital market.

When people hear digital, they automatically think easy. Just so you can start off on the right foot with this type of project, digital and easy are not synonymous. Just because the product isn’t physical, per se, doesn’t mean that the invention of it is any less labour-intensive than a physical one.

A Few Advantages of Digital Products

Here is a highlight of the usefulness of digital products and how they can benefit your business.

Low overhead costs – Unlike physical products, most of the process is completed by you when it comes to digital offerings. There are a new set of rules so the learning curve is steep at first. The outlay of cash is lower to get you started.

Faster delivery – Just like Amazon always reports with its eBooks, you can have it in your hot little hands in less than 60 seconds. With a few clicks, your customer will receive your product right away.

Increased profits – This can be true but it depends on your marketing and the quality of your products. With the lower costs upfront, more of the revenue will be profit.

5 Things to Consider when creating Digital Products for your Target Market

Reality – Many people overlook this point. Just because you create a presence online (you already know this if you have a blog or a website) doesn’t mean that people will flock to you and buy your product. It takes work on the front end, to sit back and reap profit as passive income.

Do your homework first – The inclination is to create the product that is burning to get out of your brain and then look for a market to sell it to. That way of doing things doesn’t always end well. Determine your market first and then tailor the product to speak directly to them. Trying to please everyone will mean no one will purchase your product.

Is there an audience for this product? – It may be a great idea but not one that you can sell right now. The truth of the matter is that if no one is interested in an eBook on creating a desert garden, the profit will be small despite how well-written the product.

Nuts and bolts – How will you get the product to your audience? Employing a reliable payment and delivery system is the key to customer satisfaction.

Can you make good on your promise? Before you can create the product, certain tools are necessary. Do you have a program for capturing and editing audio or video? Assemble your arsenal and then let loose.

Good information products never get noticed without the right audience.

What Makes your Product Different than Existing Products on the Market?

This is the number one question to ask of yourself before creating any digital product. If you build it, they will come only works in the movies. There is a thought process that needs to be followed to give your information product a chance to shine and sell.

The first person to question is you. You are the owner of the business. You are the one seeking customers for what you have to offer. The issue is that most markets are saturated with businesses. They are all vying for the same customer base, or are they?

What is your Market?

Let’s begin in general terms. You are a marketing consultant, for example. Marketing has many facets and can mean different things to different types of businesses. Trying to create a product that speaks to all facets of marketing won’t appeal to anyone. Here’s why. Each person will be expecting a product that speaks to their needs specifically. What they will likely get is a page about their need and fifty other pages that appeal to fifty more people.

Marketing has many niches. The trick is to find the niche you want to focus on and speak to that audience. Mums who are looking for a new income stream might be your passion. Or, it could be older professionals who have been downsized and want to create an online business as a second career. The choice is yours.

What is your Current Audience?

Are you already a blogger or an online business owner? For starters, you have created an audience already with your website. Create a product that will tap deeper into that niche. Let any other ideas wait while you work with the customer base that you have established.

What is your Marketing Strategy?

Now that you have a product, how will you let others know about it? More importantly, how will you convince them that they need what you have? The answers to those questions can be found in the particular aspects of your strategy to reach your niche. Do you have a Web Traffic Master Plan?

The Big Reveal

What makes your product different from existing products? It might be what you say in particular. Maybe you have new information that sheds a different light on what your audience already believes.

It could be your skills. You’d be surprised how many readers are turned off by poor editing and grammar. Maybe you have a way with stringing syllables together. That emotional connection with a reader can convert them into a buyer.

On the subject of emotional connection, what makes your product different is that it is being marketed to the right people. There are a lot of products out there aimed at the wrong audience. When you ask yourself a few questions and follow through with implementing the answers, the sales of your product can skyrocket.

Types of Digital Products you can Create for any Niche

Digital products have become the wave of the now and the future. Is your business utilizing them in its model? If not, you could be missing out on a lot of profit, position, leads and recognition. Keep reading to find out what types of products are included in the digital information arsenal.

Here is a little disclaimer. Don’t view digital products as the golden goose of your business. They are described as passive income but that doesn’t mean that there is no work involved. Different digital products take time to create and a specific set of tools to create them. If you are really serious about getting into digital products, the knowledge you gain as you go through the learning process will become invaluable throughout the life of your business enterprise.

With that said, let’s delve into the world of digital offerings and what they can do for you.

8 Digital Products for your Business

E Books – Let’s get the most obvious one out of the way. E Books have come a long way since their inception. Create ones that you can sell on your website or other sites. That involves enticing snippets from the book, inventive marketing and a design that appeals to your market.

Audio – Listen and you shall hear. Audio files can be used to deliver podcasts to your website, to your membership site for paid members, audio courses and other types of instruction for your customers. What you provide depends on your specific business niche.

Video – People are visual learners. Reading content is good but seeing also is even better. Video can be used for tutorials, marketing your business, creating commercials, web seminars and classes. The possibilities are endless.

Workbooks – Has a customer previously bought an eBook from you? That eBook can be leveraged to create a workbook that allows the customer to instruct others to get the most out of the book. Workbooks are great for companies and community groups to share your information.

Content – Blog and website owners need something to keep their readers interested. If you run an e-commerce site there doesn’t seem to be enough time for marketing, networking, relationship building and the rest. Turn your eBook or e-courses into a series of blog posts or articles that could be packaged as PLR content for sale.

E-courses – Break down your knowledge and instruct others in what you know. Courses can be either stand-alone or work as an integrated unit.

Newsletters – Use your expertise to put together newsletters for your readership. These can be offered as an opt-in or for sale to be used by others on their websites.

Presentations – These can be slideshows or even infographics. Take a certain type of information and put it into a format that can be used to reach a large group of people all at once.

What digital products are you considering for your business? Before you put pen to paper, do some research first.

For Small Business Owners and Solopreneurs To Get Valuable Skills They Can Use Today

Zoom has become the go-to App for both business people and individuals looking to connect with other people online.  And because of that awareness of the app is starting to pick up while interest in other platforms is starting to decline.  People working from home still want to connect, and they’ve now made their choice in big numbers to use Zoom.

So business owners now need to shift.  People are already used to Zoom, why not communicate with them in what they’re used to?  Why use a platform, just because it’s the one you’ve always used?  Zoom is low cost and low risk, once you understand what it can really do.

But just like anything else, some people consider themselves to be “not tech savvy” and need your help.  Why not give them a reliable step by step walk through of the platform so that they can train themselves.  They’ll appreciate you more and start looking to see what else you can help them with.

That’s what it really means to be a resource.  Somebody who has the answers available when they’re needed.   Communicate and Meet With Zoom will do that now, when people really want to know what the answers are.

This video course is timed for now.

Choose The Right Niche For Your Online Business

If you don’t choose the right niche for your online business then it is very likely to fail. There are thousands of different niches that you can choose from but you need to check that they have the potential for you to build a successful online business around.
A lot of people will tell you that you need to follow your passions. The reason for this is that if you are passionate about something then you are more likely to enjoy developing your online business and keep going with it.
This makes sense but it is not always the best advice. If you are passionate about a niche that not many other people are interested in then your chances of making money are slim. There could be a lot of interest in your passionate niche but is money being made from it?
Two Important Questions
To determine whether a niche is a good one for your online business you need to ask two questions about it:
1. Is there demand?
2. Is it possible to make money from the niche?

If you choose a niche which has very low demand then you are going to struggle right from the start. So you need to check if your niche ideas have the necessary demand. One of the easiest ways that you can do this is to check the amount of search volume that exists for the niche.
You can use the free Google Keyword Planner to check demand. All you need is a free Google account. Think about the main keywords for your niche – what would people type into a search engine if they were looking for information about the niche?
Once you have identified these main keywords, use the Google Keyword Planner to tell you how many searches there are for it each month. You want there to be a few thousand searches at least for the main keywords. The higher the search volume the better.
If there is good search volume for your niche idea then you need to check if people are making money in it. Go to Google and use your main keywords to search. Are there ads for products and services on the first page of the search results?
If you see lots of ads then this is a good sign that people are making money from the niche. You can do another test buy using the website to see what offers are available for your niche idea. If there are a number of offers then this is another good sign. There are other places you check as well such as
Go where the Money is
If your niche ideas do not have a lot of demand or money making opportunities then don’t despair. Just go where the money is! There are niches that are guaranteed to have the necessary demand and the opportunity to make money. Here are three evergreen niches that tick all of the boxes:
1. Wealth creation – making money etc
2. Health and fitness – weight loss etc
3. Personal development – self improvement, relationships etc
The demand for these niches are never likely to change. People will always want to create more wealth, be healthier and improve themselves. These are very competitive but they are great niches to be in.

Avoid The Shiny Object Syndrome With Your Online Business

In some niches there are new product launches every single day. With the make money online niche there are usually more than one new product launched each day. All of the sales products for these product launches tell you that their training will show you that you need to use their tactics to be successful with your online business.
I am not saying that these products do not provide any value. Some of them are really good and will reveal techniques that you will be unaware of. But a lot of these products are the same thing rehashed over and over.
Wild Claims
It is hard to believe that in this day and age some of the wild claims made by these product vendors are allowed. Again the make money online niche is probably the biggest culprit with this. There are sales letters and videos that claim that you can make a fortune by using their software and there is hardly any work for you to do.
Turn your computer into an ATM is a classic claim that some of these sales pages make. This is total nonsense of course but it is surprising how many people fall for this. Getting buyer traffic to your offers in under 60 seconds is another classic wild claim. If it seems too good to be true then it probably is.
The Grass is Greener…
A lot of sales pages for new products in your niche are going to tell you that you are doing it all wrong and that your current online business will never be as successful as you want it to be. They tell you that you need to join forces with them as the grass is greener over there.
The grass is rarely greener with these programs. There are always different techniques that you can use to improve your online business but what you shouldn’t consider is changing it altogether. It doesn’t matter how powerful the copywriting is on the sales page you should stick with your current business and work on ways to increase your revenues.
Changing from one online business model to another is something that newcomers to online business tend to do a lot. They give up on one model very fast because they are not getting the results they expect. These people are always on the lookout for the next shiny object that will change their lives.
You will never have a successful online business if you keep chopping and changing all of the time. Stick with your original plan and see it through. If you have tried your best and it doesn’t deliver the results that you want then you can think about a change. Changing on the whim of a new shiny object is something that you need to avoid.
Limit your Exposure to Shiny Objects
If you are being exposed to new shiny objects on a regular basis then cut out the source. Maybe you are a member of an online forum where this is discussed all the time. Either stop using the forum or avoid the sections that have the shiny object information.
A lot of people hear about new shiny objects via email. Unsubscribe from the lists that just keep pumping out these offers to you. They are not providing any value and just cluttering up your inbox.

Tips for Creating Products that Sell Well

Digital products are no different from physical products in their need to be promoted in order to sell. If no one is interested in the product it doesn’t matter if it comes to you in a box or as a group of gigabytes. Here are some tips to help your products to sell well from the beginning.

We know you don’t buy into the myth that simply having a website or creating a product will make you rich and famous. Good. We can move past debunking and go right to the heart of the matter. How can you ensure that your product will connect with the audience in question and sell? There are no guarantees in life but you can tip the scales decidedly in your favour with some excellent advice.

5 Tips to Get your Product to Sell Well

Build relationships – The people who will buy your product need to be convinced that it will be beneficial to them. When you connect with your readership they learn to trust you. This can be done through email marketing. Stay connected to them with updates about the project and with your business in general. Accept their suggestions and try to incorporate them in your business. Respond to comments on your posts and interact with your readers.

Gain advice – This comes from other business owners. Offer advice in your area of expertise but also ask for it to make a stronger connection with your product and your customers. Attend conferences and other business functions to increase your knowledge and to network as well.

Create a quality product – Use all the tools at your disposal to create a digital product that is both informative and appealing. Make sure your formatting is correct, the images are appropriate, the font is right and the ideas are sound. Test everything until the final product is just what you imagined it will be for you and the customers.

Create a sales page -Sales copy takes a particular skill to write. You can learn it or hire someone else to incorporate your ideas into a cohesive and engaging page. Include all of the reasons why your product is important and what benefits it will have for the customer. Offer product previews so customers can get a snippet of what the actual product is like.

Use customer reviews – Add reviews to your sales page that come from people who received an advanced copy of the product. Encourage those who buy from you to write reviews as well for others to read. Customers are more likely to trust reviews from other customers just like them.
